The Global Custodian Awards - 2008
For the 5th year running Barclays picked up more country awards than any other custodian bank in the region. This is the 20th anniversary of the Global Custodian survey of the clients of the agent banks in emerging markets. It aims to measure their perceptions of the quality of the people, technology and services agent banks bring to the provision of sub-custody and local clearing and settlement.
The results of an internationally recognised independent annual Global Custodian magazine survey of institutional investors clearly demonstrate our regional strength and commitment to the African market. The total number of responses used to derive ratings was 4,430 which qualified as CB/NA responses, Domestic responses, and Leading Client responses.
